Performance management and business intelligence initiatives are complex projects with close business involvement, which benefit from an iterative implementation:

  • determine the adequate iterations: Keyrus’ methodology includes in its strategic initiation phase a complete, rational and proven approach to cutting the whole picture in pieces, i.e. scope items. Defining the scope items requires a careful assessment of the business requirements and realities of the company and its source systems.
  • determine the implementation sequence: from a project strategy point of view, it is critical to obtain a view on the sequence of implementation of the scope items. Various constraints need to be considered, such as readiness of the source systems, data quality and availability, and organizational readiness. A clear definition and communication of the company’s optimal implementation sequence is critical to manage expectations.

Keyrus provides its customers with a recommendation as to how and where to start, and how to move forward in their performance management and business intelligence challenges, taking into account all input gathered during the study, being technical, business or organizational.

This exercise results in a performance management strategy map, the final deliverable of the scoping study. This map displays for each scope item of the project its feasibility, business value, associated efforts and dependencies, and thus enables companies to prioritize and organize their project initiative.
